Yes, we do have snow round here as well (here being Lithuania these days). It is cold and I wish I had a dress like this. Can we peer-pressure Kate into making a pattern for that dress? I've been wanting one like this for three years now.
This being a knit blog, I will show you a knit that has been kindly machine-washed by my mom. It is felted, but it is still both long and wide enough to be used as a cowl. It feels even softer than it used to be. And now it's thick as an armour and won't let any winds through. My sister will be happy.

susitrauke taip?!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read your sentence about wanting a dress for a cold snap I thought the associated link must be to Kate then when I clicked it, sure enough there she was!
ReplyDeleteWe are having particularly cold weather here in Canada this week too - I share your desire for cozy all over knits!
what beautiful scenery. We've been stuck in a cold snap as well. All week, the temperature has stayed below -20, with the wind that brings us to -30 something. Can you say brrrr?
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I keep looking at that dress for a while now . There is a nice decreasing at the back . I do hope Kate will publish the pattern .. By the way I was born in Lithuania and I mostly understand Lithuanian :)
