It's been three years since I last knit a hat for him. He once made a comment that hats messed his hair up, so I felt he did not deserve a knitted hat. However, lately he's been complaining about cold ears. And since we're flying out for Xmas to -20 degrees centigrade, I felt pity for his ears and knitted a hat.
Pattern: Christopher by Jane Richmond.
Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7)
Yarn: Cascade 220, the hat weighs 100g in total. I used 63g of MC, which is light blue in this case, and only 37g of CC (brown).
Notes/ mods: No mods whatsoever. This is a very simple pattern, very straightforward and clearly written. I needed a hat fast, so I chose a pattern with no cables and no purl stitches. This was finished in a day, so if you are still looking for a fast knit, that's the pattern to go with.
I see other versions of this hat in the future. In fact, there's on my needles right now. And it's all thanks to fridica whose versions inspired me to try out this pattern.
Yay, I'm so happy it worked out for you! Happy holidays!
