FO: Lilly melon bomb cardi

CO and BO: February 20th, 2011

Pattern: Lilly Baby Cardigan (Ravelry link here )

Needles: 5 mm (US 8) circulars

Yarn used: Dream in Color Classy, melon bomb colourway, about 1/2 of a skein
Cost: Yarn cost 19USD a skein

Mods/ notes: No changes whatsoever to the pattern. This was a super fast knit and the result is so adorable. I love this cardi! Total length - 23 cm (ca. 9"). Sleeve length from under the armpit - 12 cm ( ca. 4.5").

Fit: This is perfectly sized for a newborn. My baby weighed 3.363 kg (7lbs 6.6oz) and was 51cm (20.5") long, which is around the normal average for a newborn. My guess is that this will fit until she is about 3 months old as there is still some stretch to the garment. We'll see. The pattern definitely gets a thumbs up. Totally recommendable.
