Ravelympics made knitting ubiquitous. I did not even start my Phildar cardi. It's a pattern that'll need some modifications and I am not in the mood for that right now. My friend Magda had a baby son in June and I meant to knit something for him. The result is these two hats that still have to be blocked. I'm totally into baby patterns now and already have two next projects queued up. First, however, I have to send these two to my friend to make sure that they fit. I chose Lana Grossa Elastico for sufficient ease, but babies grow so fast in the first months that one can never know.

FO: Shopping tunic
My shopping tunic is done. To state the obvious: I left out the pockets and the cowl-neck. I also knit it a bit longer than what the patterns calls for.

FO: Cabled glory
That's my try at Phildar Pull#486-T6-628 and I love it. I knit this small so that it'd be fitted, just as it is shown in the pattern. My size is not a 32/34, but I had this feeling that the vest in the magazine photo is clipped in the back on that thin model. That's why I still went for the smallest one. And I was right.| Reactions: |

and shoot!
Have you heard this story yet? That's really sweet. Katerina wanted to talk to Matt and try to make him feel better when they met during Olympics 2004. Four years later, they're married and she's a gold medalist. These Olympic stories are great.

ready... steady...
This is my entry for Ravelympics. I'm an optimist, huh? Well, I finally got the English version of Phildar magazine (I got sent a French one the first time). The blue cardi is doable during the Olympics. Shopping tunic can be done in a day apparently - go ask other knitters if you do not believe me. The only challenge here is the vest. But I still have a week to figure out whether I can knit this in the round.
