sunday knitting

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day... Especially at the weekend. I don't have to rush out of the house, can enjoy my coffee or tea (I've been trying to cut coffee out lately), read something, have a nice morning conversation... Maybe listen to some music... Oh, just wonderful! It's such a relaxed start of the day, especially this Sunday!
I want to finish my book today. I'm reading Arthur & George by Julian Barnes. It's such a captivating story. Then I want to finish knitting my cropped cardigan. It's a pattern from the new Rebecca.

I love the pattern, but what I'm not sure of is whether it'll suit me. I often feel that knitting is like going shopping. I discover a wonderful pattern, knit it just to realize afterwards that it does not suit me at all. That's soooo disappointing. I've substituted the yarn for this pattern - it's a nice silk and new wool mix.

It's not normally the colour that I would choose, but I want to finish the "brown period" in my wardrobe. (I guess I should start off with choosing some different colour for my blog background.) It's time for some summer colours.
I bought the new NEON. It's a German magazine with some interesting articles on (life)style, culture and events. Anyway, I discovered this photo - this moss stitch cardigan (with cables on the sleeves that you probably cannot see due to my bad photographing) gives me some hope that the colour I chose for my cropped cardi will suit my complexion.

Can you see the cool shoes that she's wearing? Those are sneakers on heels!
Then there's this blue raglan top that's probably very easy to knit and that I'd like to add to my wardrobe as well.

And have you seen this dress in the new Rebecca? Ok, it's brown, but it's so nice, with just the right amount of girly for me. What do you think of it?

Enjoy your breakfast and I hope to get back soon with some pictures of FOs.

  3. Hi! Thanks for the comment. I was in Erlangen (just north of Nuernberg). It was great and I miss it a lot. I have to say the plusses definitely outweigh the minuses of living there. If only I had enough money to move back and not need a job ;o).

Look forward to seeing some FO pictures!
